Proactive

I started using Proactive. I am 24 years old and break out like a nervous 16 year old boy. It's horrible. The painful blind zits and the nasty black heads have me wishing I didn't have to go out sometimes. I started proactive 4 days ago and I am already almost clear!!! I should have taken a before picture but I was not sure this stuff would really work.

I notice my black heads have shrunk to have their normal size and zits are getting 'zapped'. It is so awesome!

Has anyone else used this product before? Did you have success? If I keep going like this in another 4 days I will have the clearest face I have ever had!

Next self improvement will be my teeth! I totally want adult braces. If you have seen my smile lately you know I have a shark tooth that is in need of taming.

Feeling good about myself makes my whole outlook change. I have never had skin like this before and that makes me feel beautiful in every way!

Sitting In My Robe

Today is going to be a lazy day. I had one day off in the last 8 days! I have worked my A$$ off the last few days. Yesterday was a horrible day at work. People were coding, others were on hospice and dying, family members were flocking in non-stop, charts needed auditing, Medicare paperwork needed to be done, the fax machine was throwing up more work for me to do, doctors needed to be called, CNA's needed a swift kick to the ass while others needed praise for their good work, call lights were going off, pain pills were needed, enemas were being requested, my feet were aching, and everyone wanted to ask me questions.

All of it was worth it at the end of the day when I was told I AM one of the GOOD nurses.

It was also worth it at the end of the day when I saw my super awesome husband and super hyper Squid.

They make it awesome!

I really do love my job. I have moments of stress but I really do love it. I have patients that I absolutely love. I have awesome nurses that work with me. We all work as a team. I am never alone with my fellow nurses at my side.

The administration just turned over. I never thought there were any problems with the last set of admins but after the switch I can feel a good change coming. Not only that but I feel like the things I have to say matter. They actually matter!!

I still want another part time job. I have a lot to learn. If I could get a PRN or part time job somewhere else I think I could learn things at hyper speed!

There are so many different things I learn everyday at work that I never knew about when I was in school.

Five years ago today I was in a hotel room with my future sister-in-law and friend Jamie and it was the night before my wedding! I was barely 19 and he was 23. We were made for each other. We are frealishly the same and yet different enough to be the most compatible possible. We have come a long way in five years, literally. Midvale, South Jordan, Provo, South Jordan (again), and Riverton. It has been an amazing ride. We hear from other married couples about their 'nightmare' year and how they almost called it quits. I have also heard that once you make it to your 5th anniversary you can pretty much handle the whole marriage thing. Year one was fun and scary. We got married and had $0 monies. We had a $500 dollar a month rent that we had no idea how we would pay, but always seemed to make it. We were poor students going to SLCC and have an amazing time. We went to the midnight release of In Love and Death and saw Kris Roe at the mall (random). We stayed up late doing what married people do (wink wink) and then stayed up even later to fall asleep talking in each others arms.

I thought life couldn't get any better than that. I was wrong.

Year two was full of late nights still (something we have yet to let dwindle). Except year two had more responsibility. We supported each other through school prerequisites and crappy jobs that we hated. We had a plan and support, love, and a common goal was what created an even tighter bond. A bond I had no idea could get tighter. I thought we had maxed out on love and support but I was wrong. It gets stronger ever single day. Even today I feel closer to my wonderful husband than I did yesterday.

Year three and four were spent in Provo finishing both our schooling. We lived in a tiny shack of a duplex. It was horrible but we made it home and it was worth every second of it. Steven supported both of us while I went to school. He never complained but I know he was holding in worries and fears of not making it financially and the stress of school was getting to both of us, but our love never felt the strain. If anything the stress of life and adulthood just made our love stronger.

We are now in our dream home working in our career fields that we fought so hard to get.

I love him and he loves me. We are freaks. I want to spend every second with him and vise versa. We love our time together. We are total hermits but that makes us happy. We work in the yard together, stay up late (wink wink), and laugh. We laugh all the time.
I have my Prince Charming. I am living the fairy tale all us girls dreamed about. I am blessed and I know it. I never take him for granted. I tell him every day how much he means to me and I reflect on the promises I made to him constantly.

I am in love and I am loved.

A lot happens in five years. I can't wait to see what the next five are going to bring. :)

I'm 24? When did that happen?

5 years ago today I turned 19. Seventeen days after my 19th birthday I married my best friend. Today I turned 24 and in 17 days I will celebrate my 5th wedding anniversary with my best friend, lover, and corner stone. He is amazing and I wouldn't change a thing. I was SO young but I would do it all over again! All of it.
I was 19 he was 23. We were and still are living our fairy tale. Ask Jake and Toni-we are freaks :]

Here we are doing what we I love most! He would rather be four wheeling but snowboarding is my total happy place. :]

JCrew Sale

Okay so JCrew's sale is like a normal store regularly priced but since it was finally affordable I bought a shirt I was eying for a while. However, I bought the gray one not this pink one. The gray one is way better anyway!

Where do you like to shop but is a major splurge? Do you wait for things to go on sale too? How do you bargain shop?

Orly: Charged Up

So I bought this nail polish at Sally's the other day because I LOVED the color. I thought it would be a great polish but it's not. It is really thin. It took 4-5 coats to get it the color it advertises. I don't have the time to wait for each coat so this color will be going in the bottom of the polish bucket and probably not come back out for a while. Oh well....Does anyone have a favorite polish?

I have wanted a perm for a few years now and I finally got one. I love it! This is only day one so it will just get better as it sets up. I am not supposed to wash it until Friday which is fine but It will be interesting to see how it looks after I wash it and play with it.

The Radicals

I love this picture because it is SO Steven. He always does this look, the neck angle is all that changes from time to time. He's a fun dude. I heart him. I think this might be the Christmas card. It was done with the iPhone so it's not the greatest quality but it is SO us.

I have Cat Fever

I really want/need a kitty. My beloved (seriously, don't mock) Princess died a few years ago and it still kills me. She was my bestie. With this house stuff almost done and over with I think I will get myself a kitten as a house warming gift. Steven is not happy but I think he'll give in eventually. Lets just hope I get it box broken quickly or he'll kick me and the kitty out on the street. Okay not me but I really think he'd kick out the cat.

Growing up I always had cats. Lacey, My gma's fat simese cat, would sleep with me at night. She would also guard my door to make sure I was safe from preditors. She was my nanny. Cagney, was Lacey's sister. She only loved my gma. She would put up with me because she had to. I would always try to get her 'break' and love me like Lacey but she was always loyal to my gma and me second. Actually she was more a gpa lover but he worked during the day so until he came home she didn't want anyone but gma. Smokey-Joe was a grey long haired mutt I found living on the corner by our house. I started to feed him so he wouldn't die. I must have tugged at gma's heart strings because he quickly became a member of the family. Cagney and Lacey quickly accepted him as their little brother. A little while later we had two more kittens flock to our back yard. They were brother and sister. We named them Sunny and Sabrina. Gma was against having 5 house cats so we just fed them in the back yard. Sunny warmed up to us quickly but Sabrina had a wild heart and couldn't love us like Sunny. Sabrina finally disappeared and gma felt bad for Sunny because he was alone so we quickly became a 4 cat family. Sunny is the last of the original 4 awesome cats I grew up with.

So If you haven't noticed I really want a cat. Here are some of the cute pictures I found to suppress my urge while I patiently wait...

PRINCESS ALWAYS SLEPT IN THE SINK OR THE TUB. SHE LOVED IT.

Warning: Crappy iPhone Pictures

This is me...DUH. But this is me with my new hair! LOVE IT. Dark with a red undertone with caramel highlights all throughout. Steven and I think I kinda look like Rose from Season 4 of Grey's Anatomy. It was totally non intentional but I really like it.

Moving Sucks

Yes we are moving again. This is the 3rd move in 3 years. Not only will it be our 3rd but we will be moving a 4th time and it will still be inside of 3 years. YUCK!

So here is the story....We moved to Provo so I could go to Nursing School. Since I am done (graduated) we are getting the H-E-double hockey stick out of here. So we got approved to buy a house and found a house we really like. So what did we do? We put an offer on it! YAY! Yeah not as exciting as you would think. Buying a house is a lot of nail biting and waiting. I hate it. So while we wait to hear back on the house we are moving into the in-laws basement. Steven works in Sandy and has been commuting from Provo for 2 years now. I got a job in West Jordan and the drive from Provo really sucks so this is our only option.

Luckily my in-laws rock. So that is my sob story I hope you enjoyed it. If you would like further detail on the house let me know. I really don't want to say too much though because we don't know if we got it yet and who knows how long that could take. :(

And the Winner Is....

I just bought this. I love it. It covers really well and doesn't feel like it is on at all. It's awesome. I just need some miracle face wash that takes care of my acne, oily t-zone, dry cheeks, and just overall freaky skin.

Brit and I are going to get our toes done tonight. YAY! It is going to be so fun. I haven't had my toes done since last Thanksgiving. I think I will do a little design of the big toe.
