To Do List: Projects

1- Buy fabric for my bedskirt
2- Sew my bedskirt
3- Kill all the nasty stuff growing in my rocks that I hate
4- Pray for warmth so I can plant pretty stuff in my rocks since they will be naked soon
5- Clean the BBQ and buy a cover for it
6- Buy a new kitchen sink faucet
7- Put my new doorknob on the kitchen pantry door
8- Sew throw pillows to match my bedskirt
9- Buy another shoe rack from IKEA
10- Buy gray paint and paint the house
11- Prime the wall with the chalk board painted directly on it
12- Paint the orange guest bedroom
13- Plant my garden
14- Paint all the doors leading outside black
15- Install a peep hole in my front door
16- Sand down and varnish the night stands
17- Create my picture wall

I have Cat Fever

I really want/need a kitty. My beloved (seriously, don't mock) Princess died a few years ago and it still kills me. She was my bestie. With this house stuff almost done and over with I think I will get myself a kitten as a house warming gift. Steven is not happy but I think he'll give in eventually. Lets just hope I get it box broken quickly or he'll kick me and the kitty out on the street. Okay not me but I really think he'd kick out the cat.

Growing up I always had cats. Lacey, My gma's fat simese cat, would sleep with me at night. She would also guard my door to make sure I was safe from preditors. She was my nanny. Cagney, was Lacey's sister. She only loved my gma. She would put up with me because she had to. I would always try to get her 'break' and love me like Lacey but she was always loyal to my gma and me second. Actually she was more a gpa lover but he worked during the day so until he came home she didn't want anyone but gma. Smokey-Joe was a grey long haired mutt I found living on the corner by our house. I started to feed him so he wouldn't die. I must have tugged at gma's heart strings because he quickly became a member of the family. Cagney and Lacey quickly accepted him as their little brother. A little while later we had two more kittens flock to our back yard. They were brother and sister. We named them Sunny and Sabrina. Gma was against having 5 house cats so we just fed them in the back yard. Sunny warmed up to us quickly but Sabrina had a wild heart and couldn't love us like Sunny. Sabrina finally disappeared and gma felt bad for Sunny because he was alone so we quickly became a 4 cat family. Sunny is the last of the original 4 awesome cats I grew up with.

iphone

I have been wanting an iphone since they came out and Steven said if I passed my LPN exam I could get an iphone. Well for mothers day/post LPN exam I got my iphone. He surprised me with it!! I love that wonderful husband of mine.

He is the best at surprises/gifts. He is so awesome. I heart him!

Wishful Wednesday

I am wishful that this rainy weather will go away.
I am wishful that I will do well on both of my tests tomorrow.
I am wishful that my garden will grow and be amazing.
I am wishful that we move away from this moldy crammed duplex and crappy Provo!
I am wishful that my old shorts will fit soon.
I am wishful that graduation will come quickly.
I am wishful that I will pass my LPN exam.

SUPER CUTE RIGHT?

As you can see it's a doormat. I love this one. I found it on amazon. It's 19.99 plus shipping so I will be hunting for one closer to home before I purchase it. I think Tj Max and Ross should have one that I would like just as much. If I can't find one then I will be buying this one soon. Our carpet needs us to wipe our feet at the door. I NEED people to wipe before entering too. It would save me a lot of work.

So now I have to ask. I ask people to take their shoes off at our door. Is that rude? I have a basket right inside the door where they can chill so they don't have to sit in the cold. Let me know what you think. :)

Wednesday Wish List

So Amazon.com has a option to create a wish list (kind of like a registry) in your account. I decided I would do this so when the next set of gift giving holidays come around I can print it out and give Steven some better ideas. I was terrible this year. Usually I have a few items I really want but this year I didn't really have a wish list that I could tell him so he is shopping blind this holiday. He always does great so I am not worried one bit.

I was thinking it would be fun to post a wish list item every Wednesday so I could maybe get some reviews or opinions on the items.

I love 30 minute meals. Rachael Ray is annoying but she can cook up some wonderful meals. I have tried a lot of them and have added my own twists to make them even better (in my opinion). If you have ever seen her show you might have noticed her fun cook wear. I love the pots and pans. Right now I have copper pans and I hate them. I miss my non-stick stuff. As soon as I can I will be replacing them with this set. Let me know what you think about this product or others like it.



If any of you know me at all you know green is my favorite color so that adds to the love of these pots. :)
