Does anyone know how to make these? I want to make a few for my sitting room. I think they rock. Any suggestions? Please help me!

She is Almost Ready

My no-name kitty is almost ready. It feels like it is taking forever! She was born March 23rd so she is still really little. She can finally hop into the litter box on her own. I guess it takes a couple attempts at it and even sometimes a running start but she is litter trained! She is eating soft kitten food right now too! When I get her I will be mixing wet kitten food with the hard kitten food and then WHAM! She'll be ready! I can't wait to get her. I was totally crushed when Princess died. I never recovered from it and I doubt I ever will. I think I am still stuck in the denial stage. I still expect her to be at my parents house waiting for me, staring out the front door glaring at me for being gone so long but you could see excitement in her eyes because I was finally home to see her. So even though I have NO one excited for me to get my kitty and no one in the family will ever come over anymore I will finally (hopefully) have that void in my heart filled my new kitty.

Changes

Some changes Mr. Rad and I are doing:

-Due to Lactose Intolerance we are switching to Soy Milk. The Chocolate flavor is awesome!
-We exercise everyday for 30 minutes.
-We are counting our calories
-We have started exploring the Monarch Meadows Parkway.
-We are cutting junk out of our diet and actually being successful at it!
-Mr. Rad is quitting soda! Woot!

Things are working great for us. Our scale thanks us because we aren't weighing it down as bad as we were a week ago. :)

What changes have you made in your life?

I am loving the changes. My body feels less 'heavy' after eating better. Working out has helped my sleeping too! Yay! My bowels are still having issues but I think that will change over time. (A story for another blog).

Kitty Kat

I am getting closer and closer to Kitty time! She is finally jumping into the litter box (jumping because she is so tiny) and started normal kitty food. :) YAY!

Self Tan Beauty

I started using this self tanner a week ago and I have to tell you it is amazing! Ali told me to use it at night before I go to bed and I wake up to a nice glow. The down side is that I use white towels and you can see the self tanner on the towel after I have shower and wipe off. Other than that so far so good. I'm loving it! I use it on my face every other day instead of every day because I worry about it turning me orange. Do you ladies have any tips for self tanning faces? I was told to just mix some of the tanning stuff into my normal moisturizer. Should I keep doing this or is there a better way?

Yard Working and Pretty Things

This weekend Mr. Rad and I did some major yard work. It was awesome. This is Charlie our Japanese Maple, Camelia, Bleeding Heart, and of course the fountain. Yes those are bubbles in the fountain. Every time we turn it on we can't help ourselves. We throw a cap of Mr. Clean in it. It makes the whole front yard smell good and the bubbles are kinda fun! [plus when it overflows we find dead spiders on the sidewalk].



These are Lilacs, bleeding hearts, and something that came up on it's own. I'm waiting to see what it is before I rip it out. I hope it's something fun!

Anthropologie

I went out with my GF Amanduh today. We went to the Gateway and The Rio Grande for lunch (yum). So here is my Anthropologie purchase. Isn't it wonderful?
4 coasters for only 1.95 and the big pot holder was only 7.95. I love Anthropologie's clearance section. It's wonderful!

Remember This?

Remember this horrible (click on link) mess? I do, It was a nightmare I had to stare at everyday. Saturday Mr. Rad and I cleared it out. Stiff muscles and a few encounters with the biggest spiders I have ever seen later and BOOM!

It looks amazing doesn't it?


P.S. Yes the fountain works I just didn't turn it on. Sorry.

Bottle, Spray, or Lotion?

To self tan or not to self tan? What is your favorite self tanner? I have tried the Walmart wannabee knock-off of Jergen's that I kinda liked but it made me smell funny. I have also tried a Banana Boat spray that left me orange and streaky. I really want to get a tan in the healthy non cancer ray kind of way. Share the secret! Let me know what you use!

Rugs!

I love accent rugs. It is a burst of artwork for your floor. This rug is in my master bath.  I love it. I am actually getting the larger one for right here in front of the sink and put this smaller one in front of the shower. It's not super 'old lady' to have matching bath rugs in the same bath is it? I think it will turn out great! 

This rug is hanging out in my front entry way. I will be painting the door the same dark color that is in the rug. What do you think? I love the retro look. Steven and I absolutely love all things retro! 

I can't wait to pull colors out of these rugs to paint my walls. It will be so much fun! I can't wait!

Cruises

Have you ever gone on a cruise? How do you plan one? We tried looking at Orbitz because it seemed cheaper. How do you pick what room you want? How do you know anything is a good deal? If you have pointers on how to plan a cruise and then how to maximize it's potential once you are there please let me know. I need all the tips and tricks I can get.

Earth Day

With Earth day comes amazing street festivals! I absolutely love street festivals! Mr. Rad hates them but he will brave the crowds and crazy hippies to make me happy.

Here are some of the events going on locally for Earth Day:
-Thanksgiving Point Tulip Festival
-Earth Jam
-Party For The Planet

What I would like to try and do for Earth Day is create a tradition of planting a tree/shrub/bulbs in my yard. Something that will come back bigger and better every year. I think it would be a great way to make my yard a Earth happy place. :)

Cleaning Day!

What am I doing? Cleaning! Yeah it really isn't all that fun. . . I have 16 & Pregnant on in the background and tater tots in the oven. I just want to start painting SO bad. Here are my painting plans: (click on the links for details)
1- Gray for the main house color and our bedroom and master bath.
2- Teal for the wall above the stairs and the wall around the back door.
3- The kitchen is already green.
4- The office will be blue and white....I think....?



What does your casa look like? Do you like paint or are you more of a simple chic kinda gal?
