I am so SPOILED!

Like I said before my parents came into town. My mom had meetings all day so my Dad and Jack took me shopping. . . ALL DAY! It was so fun. I never new my Dad had such great taste. He picked everything out I just put the last okay on it (of course). He has me all decked out to ride, run, and swim...Hmmm maybe he wants me to keep working out and get back into the stuff I used to love...UM YEAH! How awesome and supportive is that!?!? I think he is amazing for doing this. I cried on the way home with Steven because It meant so much to me that he did this for me. Take a look at the great things he got me. I swear he picked it out!

This is my new suit and goggles. Jack wanted to get me goggles so those pink beauties are from him. He wanted me to get blue but I HAD to insist on the pink. (the blue was in the kids goggle section or I would have got them because HE picked them out...Jack rocks)

The pants are capris so they will be perfect for running and biking. Not only are they cute but very functional. They go from wet to dry in no time at all. They breath well but keep you warm in the winter when you go out. Dad thought the socks were cute. How could I say no...? They were really cute.

What looks best with a yellow and gray yoga top? A yellow sports bra duh!!! The jacket matches the pants and it is made of the same stuff. Awesome eh?

And this is my Jack Jack (little brother). He LOVED the new reclining couches. He got comfy immediately and then asked for chips and Cartoon Netwook. He was ready for the long haul.

Birthday - Family Outing

My parents are in town from St. George today. We are going shopping and out to dinner. Mr. Radical has work and school so we are going to go say hi to him at work today. We are going to REI, Canyon Sports, the mall and wherever else. It should be fun to see them. I hope my little brother doesn't show off today he is so much cuter when he isn't showing off.

Birthday Stuff

Today is my 23rd bday. No I do not feel any different, I knew someone was waiting to ask. Monday and Tuesday are finals so we didn't do much today but I guess Steven has some awesome plans for this coming weekend. I'll be sure to post all about it.

Our couches look amazing. I will get some pictures soon.

What have I been up to lately you ask...?

-Sorento, Santiago and Ariel arrived (couches and tv stand)
-Josh, Veronica, and Savannah came over for a sec on Saturday. It was nice cuz we haven't seen each other for a while. I will hopefully see my whole fam on Wednesday. :)
-Stephanie and I are being interviewed by Deseret News on Wednesday because of our blanket donation to the Children's Justice Center here in Provo. (google it and check it out, it is an amazing organization)
-Thursday is when bday festivities begin. I have no idea what.
-Friday is our niece Dani's second bday. I can't believe how big she is getting.
-Saturday are more bday surprises
-Sunday.....wrapping up the bday stuff

Oh and I am going to apply for nursing positions this week. Wish me luck!!!

I also bought this.....

They are a lot more apple green in person. I got them to accent my new couch and TV stand. I think it will look pretty against the dark brown of the couches.

I Bought It!!!

Soooooo cute eh?

Eating Less Feels Amazing!

What have I cut out of my diet:
Diet Coke -It's true I did. I had one day of headaches and after that hurdle I haven't even thought about picking another one up.
Carbs- Other than a few saltines they are gone!
Sugar- I buy a natural sweet herb called Stevia.
Soda- not just diet coke but all sodas are gone!
Juice- Juice is just as packed with sugar as soda so it is gone for good!
Large Portions- Yep I only eat 4 ounces of meat with each meal. It is a lot more than you would think.
Oil- I do not cook with oil at all. Not even EVOO.

Products I have changed:
all my beauty products are natural and organic now. Everything is oil-free as well.

Example of what I eat:
Hamburgers= 4 ounces of meat divided into two patties. Lettuce leaf as my 'bun' and a huge slide of tomato. It was so good!.

How I feel:
I feel amazing. I have cut out a lot of junk. You would think I would be hungry all the time but I am doing okay. If I get hungry I drink more water. I only eat at meal times so I don't snack.
I have more energy and my moods are more.....chipper I guess.

Cutting out all the crap I used to eat feels amazing. Fresh fruits and veggies are the way to go.

Wish me luck. I have a long way to go.

p.s. I will post pictures soon hopefully (I need to work up the courage to show you how tubby I have gotten).

My New Additions to My Casa

Introducing (drum roll)....

This is Ariel (not even joking it is really her name!). Our new TV stand. Steven and I saw it and we stopped looking. We just wanted this one. We like how retro it looks.

This is our new couch (+ a matching love seat). His name is "Sorento". I think it is fitting. He is so comfy! The couch and love seat both recline too! Awesome right!?!?!?

So here is the catch....Dun Dun Dun....The store cannot deliver Sorento or Ariel till July 24th. Sad eh? I guess it gives us plenty of time to get rid of our ugly couches.

So what do you think? Love em' right? Yeah I thought you would!

sTORI Telling

Yes I am reading this. Judge me if you want but I am only 12 pages in and I LOVE it! Pick it up at your local library or buy a copy (it's only $8.99). I have always loved Tori Spelling and the 90210 crew. I can't wait to buy Mommywood as well.

Whiskey Steak

Okay so I don't actually have a recipe for this...I usually just mix it up and it usually tastes great!

What you need:

Fave cut of meat
White Onion
Garlic
Food Processor
Rosemary (preferably fresh)
Cracked Pepper
Sea Salt

How you make it:

Combine whole onion, a few cloves of garlic, rosemary, pepper, salt, and whiskey. Put it in the food processor. You want it to be a little runnier than a paste. Throw your steaks in a zip log baggie with the marinade. You can wait an hour or over night before you cook your steaks. I prefer to wait over night.

These taste great so try it! Let me know if you add anything to it. :)

Wishful Wednesday

So cute right? It is the blue version on my current pots and pans. I thought it would be fun to switch up the colors.

I think this bedding is awesome. It is SO me! I think I might buy it for my bday...or hint a lot to Steven that I want this.

Cute shower curtain! My curtain is just bland chocolate brown. Lately I feel like it makes my small bathroom feel even smaller. I think I might order this so I can brighten up our small bathroom.
